Troop Representative Duties

• Serves as a communication link between the lodge or chapter and the troop.
• Encourages year round and resident camping in the troop.
• Encourages older Scout participation in high adventure programs.
• Encourages Scouts to actively participate in community service projects.
• Assists with leadership skills training in the troop.
• Encourages Arrowmen to assume leadership positions in the troop.
• Encourages Arrowmen in the troop to be active participants in the lodge and/or chapter activities and to seal their membership in the Order by becoming Brotherhood members.
• Sets a good example
• Enthusiastically wears the Scout uniform correctly.
• Lives by the Scout Oath, Scout Law and OA Obligation
• Shows Scout spirit

This is the section’s equivalent of our lodge’s Fellowship Weekend. Arrowmen from the nine lodges in section NE-1B will be attending. There will be training courses, inter-lodge competitions, and much more.

Ordeal candidates will be going through their ordeal and induction ceremonies. Ordeal members should attend to seal their membership in the OA by obtaining Brotherhood. Brotherhood members should attend for a fun-filled weekend of fellowship and service.

The September Ordeal is the same as the August Ordeal, except that Lodge elections will also be held this weekend.

Message for Ordeal Members Eligible for Brotherhood:

Our lodge is known for our excellent Brotherhood conversion rate. If you have been an Ordeal member for at least a year, you are eligible to seal you membership in the OA by going through you Brotherhood ordeal. All Ordeal members are urged to attend one of the two ordeal weekends and attain Brotherhood membership and help the lodge meet its goal of an 80% Brotherhood conversion rate.
